Minutes of the Regular Meeting  

Tuesday January 17, 2006.

Princeville Village Hall

 The Princeville Village Board met at the above date and place.

The meeting was called to order by President Stahl at 7:30 PM with the following members answering roll call; Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller and Barrington being present. A quorum was present. Notice of the meeting and the agenda were delivered and received in a timely manner. Staff present was Sec./Treasurer, Sue Hofer, Water Dept., Russ Hyde, Deputy Breitbarth, and Village Clerk Milton Rasmussen. Absent was Supt. Of Public Works, Chad Gardner.

Police report:

Deputy Breitbarth reported doing a domestic dispute follow up, harassing phone calls, theft of snow plow blades, and he now has a list of abandon/junk vehicles in the village to check on.

Street lighting in Ostrom subdivision:

Finch Stowell presented the village board with a signature list of residents living in the subdivision that want some ornamental street lighting at three corners where persons walk and run during dark hours. Seventy-nine signatures are on file in the petition filed with the village clerk. Ameron/Cilco rep contacted said they would connect to the base of a pole power from the nearest transformer. The pole will need to be set by a contractor and wired to the fixture.

Treasurers report:

Motion by Troutman and second by Rasmussen to accept the treasurers report as presented and place on file. Voice vote. All ayes. No nays. Motion passed.

Fence Bids for water treatment plant:

Property committee to contact the fence companies to receive bids for complete surround with ornamental fence. Try to have something ready by next meeting. Motion to table by Koller, second by Rickey to table the fence bids. Voice vote. All ayes. No nays. Motion passed.

Adopt resolution with the Library and Village on TIF 1:

Motion by Troutman with second by Barrington to adopt the resolution between the Village of Princeville and Lilly M. Evans Memorial Library District. TIF District 1.

Resolution # R06-01-04. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Koller, Barrington and President Stahl voting aye. No nays. Abstaining Rickey and Troutman. Motion passed.

Adopt resolution with the Akron Princeville Fire Protection District and Village on TIF 1:

Motion by Rasmussen with second by Koller to adopt the resolution between the Village of Princeville and the Akron Princeville Fire Protection District. TIF 1. Resolution #R06-01-03. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Koller, Barrington and President Stahl voting aye. No nays. Abstaining Rickey and Troutman. Motion passed.

Bids for new copy machine:

Bids to be looked at next meeting.

Building permits:

No building permits on file.

Committee reports:

Pool - Late in February they will begin looking for pool personnel for 2006.

TIF - No report.

Property - Lot # 54 is in probate status. Lots # 37 & 38a are pending sale.

License Fees review next month on gaming machines.

Supt. Of public works report:

The Altitude valve being installed at the north water tower is on bypass until the electricity gets hooked up by Duckworth Electric.

The South water pump at well #3 has had a impeller come off, and the second stage is loose. Peerless Pump Co. is to be in town working on this next week and will replace a bad piece of pipe at the head as well.

Russ Hyde asked for a weeks vacation starting January 30, 2006.

Other business:

Notice from Methodist Medical Center that they will no longer support services for workman comp. At the Princeville Clinic.

Next meeting the board will discuss Capitol Expenditures for the coming year.

The Snow Flake Xmas fixtures have been ordered.

Pool pass for the benefit at the Hub to be auctioned off on Feb. 4, 2006. Motion by Troutman, second by Rasmussen to make a pool pass for the year 2006 swimming pool available. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller and Barrington all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed.

Adjournment:

Motion by Rickey, second by Troutman to adjourn the meeting. Voice vote. All ayes. No nays. Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM by President Stahl.
