Village Board Meeting Minutes
January 18, 2005
7:30PM

The Princeville Village Board met on the above date at the Village Hall. President Stahl called the meeting to order. The following members answered roll call, President Stahl, trustees, Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Knapp, Troutman, and Koller.

Peoria County Sheriff's Patrol Report:

Kevin Bretbarth introduced himself to the Board as our new patrol officer. Still getting familiar with the Village and any on-going problems we have. Asked the Board several questions about how they want certain incidences handled. Called on two juveniles fighting, charges pressed. Damage to mailboxes on S.Walnut St . Stolen ATV from German-Bliss was recovered in Pontiac , IL . Several rescue calls and a domestic call.

Treasurer's Report (tabled from January 3)

Sue is still having problem with new computer, no report available yet.

Water bills were discussed, some were missing that had been paid. The size and shape of the drop box was mentioned, as when it is full, it is very easy to pull envelopes out of it. Butch Gardner volunteered to make a new box.

2005-06 Capital Expenditures :

Due to Chad Gardner's illness tonight, table until next meeting, February 7, 2005 .

Boiler and Machinery Insurance :

Motion by Troutman, second by Rickey, to pay #1212.00 to RW Troxell Agency for the annual premium on the boiler and machinery insurance policy, for coverage from 1/18/05 to 1/18/06 . Roll call, 6 ayes, motion carried.

Building Permits:

Brian Lewis 108 W High St move storage shed from trailer court on Evans St. to his property at 108 W High.

Motion by Rickey, second by Troutman to approve the Lewis building permit. Roll call, 6 ayes, motion carried.

Committee Reports:

Property : Schupp Bldg repairs have started. Shed has been removed from the back alley area. Front façade is still in poor condition.

Deputy Bretbarth mentioned the downtown gas station still has food in the building. The building is in receivership.

President Stahl received word from attorney Mike Kraft that an extension on the response date from Daily and Associates was extended to January 14, 2005 at 4:00pm , nothing to report yet.

Dept. of Public Works: Chad Gardner .

Chad is ill, no report tonight.

General Concerns:

Town House School Project: Committee is asking for exemption for the village ordinance requiring lighted exit lights. Discussion followed. Motion by Knapp, second by Rasmussen, that the Town House School Project must comply with Municipal code, 15.04.090, and have lighted exit signs. Roll call, 5 ayes, Sutherland no, motion carried.

Akron Princeville Fire Department donated 3 radios for Village use.

Motion by Troutman, second by Rickey to adjourn at 9:08pm . Voice vote, all ayes, motion carried.
