Village Board Meeting Minutes
January 5, 2004
7:30PM

The Princeville Village Board met on the above date. President Stahl called the meeting to order, the following members answered roll call: President Stahl, trustees; Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Knapp, Troutman, and Koller.

Peoria County Sheriff's Patrol Report: Mark Confort

Incident during PHS basketball tournament, 12/27, involving a shoving incident with the HS principal and a fight in the girl's locker room. Two arrests made. Gate damaged at FCA. Discussion on stolen car and young person who supposedly has info on grade school vandalism last year.

December Minutes

Motion by Rasmussen, second by Koller, to approve the minutes from the December meetings as presented. Voice vote, 6 ayes, motion carried.

Treasurer's Report/Bills and Additional Bills: Sue Hofer

Nothing significant to report, some tax money from the State is still due us. Motion by Sutherland, second by Knapp to approve the report as presented. Voice vote, 6 ayes, motion carried. Motion by Knapp, second by Troutman to pay the December bills and additional bills. Roll call, 6 ayes, motion carried.

Mediacom cable company :

Increase coming February 1, 2004 , discussion followed, Board would like the company rep to visit one of our meetings in the near future.

No building permits presented.

Dept of Public Works: Chad Gardner

Scheduling burning of brush and trees at Sid Stahl's farm this week, will notify APFD. *Water leak at Marv Donsbach's , JULIE has been called, not sure who's responsible until it is dug up. *No major problems during power outage on Sunday the 3 rd . * Called Amren-Cilco on streetlight behind bank.

General:

  • School District sent letter inquiring about the payment of TIF I funds to them. Table until next meeting.
  • New money in Revolving Loan Funds through the State. ($59 million) This is to aide small businesses who employ 5 to 50 workers.
  • Dollar General/Subway still interested in locating in Village. Looking at Heartland Chevrolet building as possible site.

Motion by Rasmussen, second by Sutherland to go into Executive Session at 8:30pm for a personnel situation.

Regular Session at 8:55pm .

Motion by Rasmussen, second by Koller, that a copy of the letter from the Board concerning an incident at the swimming pool, August 9, 2003 , be placed in John Tanney's personnel file, along with a copy to tonight's executive board minutes. Voice vote, 6 ayes, motion carried.

Janet reminded members to review our new Municipal Code book for any errors.

Motion by Troutman, second by Rickey to adjourn. Voice vote, 6 ayes, motion carried.
