Minutes of the Regular Meeting

Monday, January 7, 2008 7:30 PM Princeville Village Hall

The Village Board met at the above time and place.
The meeting was called to order by President Stahl at 7:30 PM with the following members answering roll call; Trustees Sutherland, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller, Barrington and Knapp being present. A quorum was present for the meeting. Notice of the meeting and the agenda were sent and received in a timely manner. Other staff present was Village Clerk Rasmussen, Supt. of Public Works Gardner, and Village Sec. /Treas. Hofer. Deputy Breitbarth was absent and arriver at 8:07 PM.

Minutes approved: Motion by Troutman and a second by Barrington to approve the minutes of the December board meeting. Voice vote. All ayes. No nays. Motion passed.

Treasurer’s report: Motion by Sutherland and a second by Rasmussen to approve the treasurer’s report and place on file. Voice vote. All ayes. No nays. Motion passed. Noted that TIF I funds were received = $483,000.00.

Paying of bills: Motion by Rasmussen and a second by Koller to pay the bills as presented. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller, Barrington and Knapp all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed.

CCOP report: No meeting; no report.

Committee reports: The license committee will be meeting to discuss the animal ordinance and fees.
The pool committee’s next meeting will be on January 22 at 6:30 PM at the Village Hall.

Police report: A subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and attempted burglary; Another person was arrested for being intoxicated and fighting; Two persons were arrested for a retail theft together; Several subjects were arrested for an underage drinking party.

Building permits: None.

Supt. of Public Works report: Chad Gardner reports that Lopez Construction Co. has not been returning his calls. Chad will be on vacation week of Jan 21st.2008.
The Christmas decorations will be taken down around Jan 8th.2008.

Other business: President Stahl and Trustee Rasmussen will be doing the program for the Business after Hours to be held at “COOP’S” on January 15, 2008. Food and drink will be provided; NO ALCOHOL!
Due to the new State Law on NO SMOKING in public buildings, The Village will be ordering door and window signs for all Village Owned Buildings. Motion by Barrington and a second by Troutman to order NO SMOKING signs at a cost of $75.00. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller, Barrington and Knapp all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed.

Adjournment: Motion by Knapp with a second by Troutman to adjourn the meeting.
President Stahl adjourned the meeting at 8:40 PM.
