Regular Board Meeting
Tuesday, October 16, 2007 7:30 PM Princeville Village Hall
The Village Board met at the above time and place.
The meeting was called to order by President Stahl at 7:30 PM with the following Trustees answering present; Sutherland, Rasmussen, Koller, Barrington and Knapp, with Troutman arriving at 8:30 PM. Others present were Village Clerk Rasmussen, Supt. of Public Works Gardner, Officer Breitbarth and Sec. /Treas. Hofer arriving at 7:40 PM.
Police report: reported an ambulance call; an arrest for Disorderly Conduct was effected; vandalism to a vehicle; a domestic violence occurred and someone had thrown shoes and rocks on a building rooftop.
CCOP - nothing new.
Gazebo painting estimate: Total Home Services submitted a bid to power wash, prime and paint for a cost of labor and materials of $875.00. Motion by Koller and second by Rasmussen to hire Totally Home Services to clean and paint the gazebo. Roll call vote; Sutherland, Rasmussen, Koller, Barrington and Knapp all voting aye. No nays. Motion Passed.
Illinois Municipal League (w/ Risk Ins.): Motion by Rasmussen and second by Sutherland to pay IML a total of $19,749.94 for a one year period with a 2% discount by annual payment. Roll call vote; Sutherland, Rasmussen, Koller, Barrington and Knapp all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed.
Committee reports: TIF revitalization forwarded an application to Steve Klein for the Princeville Tap Diner. The Village Hall restroom is almost completed and Chad Gardner will hang a new light. A new closet will be purchased and installed at a cost of about $600.00. Motion by Koller and a second by Rasmussen for Lopez Construction to replace the closet. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Koller, Barrington and Knapp all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed. Motion by Sutherland and second by Knapp to go forward with a stone sign with brick end post for the East and West entrances to Princeville, not to exceed a cost of $3000.00. The west end is TIF compatible, while the east sign will not meet TIF guidelines. Roll call vote; Sutherland, Rasmussen, Koller, Barrington and Knapp all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed.
License committee to meet Oct 23rd at 6:00 PM at the Village Hall.
Trustee Troutman arrived at the meeting at 8:30 PM
Holiday Homecoming will be the Sunday December 2nd. 2007. Motion by Barrington and second by Troutman to request a road closing 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Roll call vote; Sutherland, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller, Barrington and Knapp all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed.
Annual financial report: Motion by Rasmussen and a second by Barrington to accept the annual Village of Princeville financial report and place it on file. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller, Barrington and Knapp all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed.
Motion by Rasmussen and a second by Sutherland to accept the annual financial report by Gorenz and Assoc., Ltd. As of the year ending April 30, 2007. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller, Barrington and Knapp all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed.
Supt. of Public Works report: The new dump truck is in Peoria for the finishing touches. Two new handicapped spaces in front of the High School have been painted at the front - south doors. Motion by Koller and a second by Barrington to provide at 302 N Cordis Ave. with an ordinance to follow. Resolution # R-07-10-05. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller, Barrington and Knapp all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed.
Motion by Koller and a second by Knapp to pay a total of $5106.00 to Joe Schierer for the maintenance shed overhead doors. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Koller, Barrington and Knapp all voting aye, No nays. Motion passed.
