Village Board Meeting Minutes
October 18 , 2005
7:30PM

The Princeville Village Board met at the above date and place.

The meeting was called to order by President pro tem Sutherland at 7:30 PM with the following members answering roll call; Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller and Barrington being present. A quorum was present. Notice of the meeting and the agenda were sent and timely received. Supt. Of Public Works Chad Gardner, Sec./ Treas. Sue Hofer, Pub. Wks. Employee Russ Hyde and Village Clerk Milton Rasmussen were also present. President Stahl was absent.

Peoria County Police Report:

Deputy Kevin Breitbarth reported that he found a couple doors open at the High School and secured them; Three motor vehicle accidents, and four ambulance calls were reported. Vandalism to the water treatment tank has happened; an arrest for drugs and materials, a driver was arrested using drugs while driving; and three of the five persons suspected of the area home burglaries have been apprehended.

Annual Audit Report:

Motion by Koller to approve and place on file, the annual audit report for 2004-2005, second by Troutman with a roll call vote, Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller and Barrington voting Aye. No Nays. Motion passed.

Annual Financial Report:

Motion by Troutman to approve and place on file, the Annual Financial Report, with a second from Koller; Roll call vote; Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller and Barrington voting Aye. No Nays. Motion passed.

Final pay to Baer Construction:

Motion to release the final payment to Baer Construction for the sidewalk installation on N. Town Ave. at an amount of $1615.00 by Rasmussen and second by Barrington. Roll call vote, Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller and Barrington voting Aye. No Nays. Motion passed.

Dead Tree Issue @ 209 S. Walnut Ave., Steve Caldwell:

Discussion about the dead tree standing in the rear yard at 209 S. Walnut Ave. was summed up by the Property Comm. Chairman to contact the Village Attorney. Motion by Barrington with a second by Troutman to proceed with the Village Attorney being contacted. (Dangerous Trees is an ordinance violation. Chapter 12. 20.05.08). Roll call vote, Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller and Barrington voting Aye. No Nays. Motion passed.

Water Plant Vandalism:

Russ Hyde gave an account of the damage which had occurred at the water plant by unknown person or persons. The damage was repaired at an approximate cost of $1000.00. The Property Committee will look at fencing in the area.

Committee Reports:

Property Committee has sent a letter to Harv Stahl to dispose of the Junk, vehicles and appliances etc., by October 26, 2005 or a notice will be forwarded to the Village Attorney for the ordinance violation.

Pool Committee request that public works dept. fill the deck cracks before winter, around the swimming pool.

Building Permits:

Bob & Janet Snyder 418 S> Tremont Ave. Extend a front porch

Motion by Koller seconded by Rickey to issue the building permit. Voice vote, All Ayes. No Nays. Motion passed.

Supt. Of Public Works:

Chad Gardner reports that the Permit from IEPA has been received and Walker Excavating will be installing the Altitude Valve near the North water tower on N. Town Ave. as soon as the canning factory season is complete.

There was a 4 inch, old transite water main break on S. Kennedy Ave..

The “Patch Machine” was not being used since the supplier was closed down for the season and we could not purchase the needed oil from them. Another supply source has been located in Farmington Il.

The Old sewer plant needed to be cleaned out after plugging up recently.

Other Business:

The Village Maintenance Radio License has been received from FCC.

Motion by Rickey, second by Troutman to adjourn the meeting. Voice vote, All Ayes. No Nays Motion passed.

President pro tem Sutherland adjourned the meeting at 8:40 PM
