Regular Board Meeting

Tuesday, February 20, 2007            7:30 PM           Princeville Village Hall

The Village Board met at the above time and Place.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by President Stahl, with the following members answering roll call; Sutherland Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller, and Knapp. Barrington was absent.  Quorum was present for the meeting. Staff present was Village Clerk Rasmussen, Sec. /Treas. Hofer, Deputy Breitbarth, with Supt. of Public Works Gardner arriving at 7:55 PM.  Trustee Barrington arrived at 8:25 PM.

Police report: There was a motorist assist performed; 2 motor vehicle lockouts, which were opened; report of property being vandalized; criminal damage to property had occurred; and the High School has asked that a self defense class be taught.

Princeville basketball and little league: Eric Lane, director of these programs came to thank the board for their donation assistance and report that 115 boys and girls had participated in basketball. Eric presented a list of baseball equipment and asked the board donate to that program also. Motion by Rasmussen with a second by Koller to donate $500.00 to little league after May 1st, 2007 and pay for the porta pots at the grade school. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller, and Knapp all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed. Trustee Barrington was absent for the vote.

Swimming pool fence ordinance: The swimming pool ordinance on fencing will contain fines and be ready for a March 5th. 2007 passage.

Open Burning Ordinance # 07-02-01 (Open Burning- Amendment): Motion by Rasmussen with a second by Koller to approve the Open Burning Ordinance #07-02-01, Amendment to the Municipal Code Section 9.16.040 , as presented this date. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller, Knapp and President Stahl all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed. Trustee Barrington was absent from the vote. The ordinance will be effective immediately upon passage and publication.

Foth Infrastructure & Enviroment, LLC. (Judd Giffin PE): formerly Daily & Assoc.- is asking the Village Board to use their services of engineering in the village.

Committee reports: Pool committee is looking to sand blast and pressure washes the pool, since the scraping is not adequate prior to painting. The committee is seeking a new bid from Carl Ryan for sandblasting and washing work. An awning on the East side is to be built this summer.
Property committee, Roger Larson will be at the March 5th.2007 meeting to offer services to a leadership and volunteer program he has available.

Parks feasibility meeting with persons from the State of Illinois will be at 1:00 PM on March 1st. 2007.

Supt. of Public Works: Need a replacement truck for the Red Dump Truck; Russ Hyde to a one day seminar; there are three fire hydrants that need to have finished repairs done.

Other business: Maintenance building specs needed on paper.  Zoning board needs to meet for the building Variance.

Wayne Herrmann thinks that part of the main building of Heritage Museum needs a ceiling and some heat for winter time so some of the area old equipment could be rebuilt.
