Regular Board Meeting

Tuesday, March 20, 2007            7:30 PM              Princeville Village Hall

The Village Board met at the above time and place.
The meeting was called to order by Trustee, Acting Village President, Sutherland at 7:30 PM with the following members answering roll call: Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller, Barrington and Knapp. A quorum was present for the meeting. Staff present was Village Clerk Rasmussen, Sec./Treas. Hofer, Supt. of Public Works Gardner and Deputy Breitbarth.

Police report: One motor vehicle ticket was issued, Motor vehicle Radar was run resulting in three warning tickets being written, A burglary of guns in Woodford County was relayed to Princeville area, as the guns were disposed of near a Princeville cemetery, the guns were found and returned to Woodford County.

Swimming pool fence ordinance: The first reading of the Swimming Pool Ordinance was on Tuesday March 20th. 2007, and a final reading will take place on April 2nd. 2007 and will be in Full Effect 10 days after its passage and publication (posted at the Village Hall) or on APRIL 13th.. 2007.  The Village Clerk suggest that all persons who have a swimming pool in there yard should read the ordinance in its entirety and understand it.

Safe roads project report: Tabled to a later date.

Water & Sewer committee report: A preliminary report indicates that the budgeted amount is less than the total operating expenses to operate the water and sewer systems, in part by the rising cost of utilities power. A review by the village board and the Village auditors is coming in the near future.

Committee reports: The pressure washer is at the swimming pool. The POOL committee will meet at 6:45 PM on April 2nd. Some lifeguard applications are being received.
Park meeting was Mar 19th. Usefull information was received. A 5 member board needs local legal aid to assist.
TIF Revitalization will contact Sally Hanley, Economic Development, for a grant development.

Building permits:  Steve Jansen visited the village board and said the School wants the Village to develop a strategic plan for expansion and development, to offset the schools cost.. ?

Approved by Supt of Pub Works and Zoning officer and Village President
Supt. of Public Works: The Zoning passed for the village shed extension. A new panel is needed for the tank behind the water treatment plant, it is leaking and the replacement cost is about $3800.00. The Loader broke down at the corner of North and Town Ave and needs a new Fluid filter. Core samples were started at Main and Santa Fe on Tuesday March 20th.
Trustee Rasmussen asked that the storm sewer grates be cleaned before the rains start for the season.
