Village of Princeville Monday, March 5, 2007 7:30 PM Princeville Village Hall The Village Board met at the above time and place. Police report: Reported a Teen fight over a boyfriend, A persons check that was missing was cashed out of town, Found a briefcase, One motor vehicle accident reported, A wall at the former car dealership was blown down by high winds and A person needing community service hours (by court order) will be overseen by Trustee Rasmussen. Approve minutes: Motion by Rasmussen with a second by Barrington to approve the minutes of the February meetings as published with a correction. Voice vote. All ayes. No nays. Motion passed. Approve the Treasurers report as published: Motion by Knapp with a second by Sutherland to approve the Treasurers report and place on file. Voice vote. All ayes. No nays. Motion passed. Paying of the bills as presented: Motion by Rasmussen and a second by Koller to pay the bills as presented. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller, Barrington and Knapp all voting Aye. No nays. Motion passed. Swimming pool fence ordinance: Not ready for passage and will have the first reading at the next meeting on March 20th. 2007. Supervise Person on Probation: Motion by Rasmussen and a second by Barrington that Trustee Rasmussen will supervise a person serving 75 hours of probation, (court ordered), Voice vote. All ayes. No nays. Motion passed. Donation to the Lion’s Club: Motion by Troutman and a second by Rasmussen to donate $300.00 to the Princeville Lion’s club for their upcoming Pancake brunch. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller. Barrington and Knapp all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed. Village Clerk request executive session: Village clerk Milton Rasmussen request an executive session to review the executive session minutes, a process that needs to be done ever six months to comply by Illinois State Statues, and recommends that each April and October this be accomplished. At some time and point the village will be audited by the State and the records need to be in place before that is done. In addition there are a number of permit fees that need to be set in the form of a resolution each year and before the new fiscal year begins on May 1st..This should be done in April also. The Municipal code book will be updated during the month of April of 2007 by working with the “Code Book” editors, and all Ordinances from 2003 to April 2007 will be written into the code book. Committee reports: On April 5th 2007 the Village Auditors will be in Princeville to give an overview of the cost and operating expense and their advice as what the village should do, especially with the rising rate increase from Ameron/Cilco as related to the operation of sewer and water services. That meeting will be at 7:00 PM. Building permits: Streetscape project: The proposal for the project from Kenyon and Assoc. is estimated at $670,000.00 for the replacement of the sidewalks, planters and trees. Street lighting etc… There is a $10,000.00 pre planning grant pending. On Thursday March 8th.,2007 at 9:00 AM Carol Merna from Ray LaHood’s Office and Don Burns from Dept. of Agriculture will be at the Village Hall to offer and advise of some of the project monies available and will leave applications with the village. Supt. of Public Works: The Zoning board will meet on the Variance application for the Village Maintenance Building extension on March 15th at 7:00 PM at the village hall. Other business: Village Clerk Rasmussen asked to go to the Municipal Clerks of Illinois seminar at the Pere Marquette in Peoria on March 30th. At a cost of $45.00. Roll call vote.
