Village Board Meeting Minutes
The Princeville Village Board met on the above date in the Village Hall. President Stahl called the meeting to order, the following members answered roll call: President Stahl, Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Knapp, Troutman, and Koller. Motion by Rasmussen, second by Koller, to go into Executive Session at 7:05pm for the purpose of discussing the lawsuit with Daily and Associates Engineers. Roll call, 6 ayes, motion carried. Regular Session , 7:40pm . Peoria County Sheriff's Dept Report : Nothing to report, discussion on semi-truck parking designated area. Municipal Code Book Update Ordinance : Motion by Rasmussen, second by Rickey, to approve the ordinance adopting the Village of Princeville municipal code update. Roll call, 6 ayes, motion carried. Sue will purchase six, 3"inch binders for the unbound copies. Begner Liquor License: Motion by Koller, second by Knapp to accept the liquor license application for Wendy Begner to operate Princeville Tap, Inc at 129 Main St . License will be available April 23, effective May 1, 2004 . Roll call, 6 ayes, motion carried. Prevailing Wage Ordinance 2004: Motion by Sutherland, second by Rickey, to adopt the prevailing wage ordinance as presented for 2004. Roll call, 6 ayes, motion carried. Pride One Gas Bill: Motion by Rasmussen, second by Rickey to pay the Phillips 66 gas bill for $1028.42. Roll call, 6 ayes, motion carried. Committee Meetings : Pool committee report: Opening date scheduled May 29 th , weather permitting. Personnel committee meets with finance committee, April 27 th at 7:00pm . Building Permits : Bryan Hougham, 212 Rebecca , construct a 16' x 10' deck. Barbara Bonds 312 E south Change window size from 6' x 5'3" to 6' x 4'. John and Chris Meuser 311 S Tremont demolish and remove 6'x 4' brick porch and overhang, construct porch and roof, 7'x4'. Motion by Rickey, second by Koller, to approve the building and demolition permits as given. Roll call, 6 ayes, motion carried. Dept of Public Works: Chad Gardner : *MFT bid to seal coat streets and make sweeper payment, $35,000. Steve Blust will handle bid process. Motion by Rasmussen, second by Troutman, to approve the resolution for maintenance of streets and highways by the Municipality, under the IL Highway Code. Roll call, 6 ayes, motion carried. *Discussion on the cost of engineering for running water lines to the McGinn property, at a cost of approx $3500 to $4000. Table until property owners can be present. * Mowing, spraying for weeds. Motion by Koller, second by Rasmussen to have Stevens Square and Cutter's Grove Parks professionally sprayed not to exceed $300 at Cutter's Grove. Voice vote, 6 ayes, motion carried. * Dept of Labor inspection last week, many small infractions, discussion followed. Bid Opening: 1981 International Truck One bid sent: Stan Hurt, $205. Motion by Rasmussen, second by Knapp to accept the bid of $205 from Stan Hurt, for the 1981 International Dump Truck. Roll call, 6 ayes, motion carried. General:
Motion by Rasmussen, second by Koller, to go into Executive session at 9:24pm for the purpose of discussing a personnel issue. Roll call, 6 ayes, motion carried. Regular session , 9:55pm Motion by Rasmussen, second by Koller to return all work responsibilities to Village employee John Tanney. Voice vote, 6 ayes, motion carried.
