Princeville Village Hall
The Princeville Village Board met at the above date and place.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by President Stahl, with the following members present; Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller and Barrington being present. A quorum was present. Notice of the meeting was sent and received in a timely manner. Staff present was Supt. of Public Works, Gardner, Sec./Treas., Hofer, Deputy Breitbarth, Village Clerk Rasmussen.
Police report:
Deputy Breitbarth reported Civil papers had been served; 2 Bicycles reported stolen; A Financial exploitation of elderly reported; Vicious dog (PAWS involved); Someone stole a 60 gallon tank of diesel fuel and tank from a truck; a person exploded a device; and an Order of protection and Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault arrest was performed.
Treasurers report:
Still not ready.
PCA report:
Reported by PCA president Janet Rasmussen that the Packets for the “Downtown Re-development are ready to be distributed and may be picked up at the Village Hall. A TIF committee will meet Thursday May 25th,2006. At the village hall at 7:00 PM.
Swimming pool fence ordinance:
The property committee has drawn up some guidelines for pool fencing, based on information from Peoria County’s ordinance. Village board members are to review and return to the next board meeting any other suggestions. This will be sent to the Village Attorney for review and drawing of an ordinance for the village.
Building permits:

Malinda Kitchens 322 S. Tremont 8X10 shed, replace porch
Motion by Rasmussen with a second by Troutman to approve the building permits with a stipulation that No part of the building be on or over the overhead line easement of Commonwealth Edison. Issued permit only on this assurance. Roll call vote; Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller and Barrington all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed.
Committee reports:
Pool, Saturday May 20th, at 9:00am there will be an in service training session for all pool employees. May 27th, will be the opening day, weather permitting. Organization swim nights will be ½ price. June 14th, will be The fire departments water rescue training night.
School district/ TIF-1 funds for year 2005-06 capital project expenses:
Motion by Troutman with a second by Rasmussen to send the projects reimbursement in the amount of $40,000.00 to Princeville Unit School District 326 for the year 2005-06. Roll call vote. Sutherland Rasmussen, Koller, Barrington and President Stahl all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed. Rickey and Troutman abstain; (live in the TIF-1 district)
Walk-thru of the Phillips 66 station at Main & SantaFe:
After a walk thru of the premises, it has been a decision that the Village Board not enter into any competition by bidding on the property, and that the village support a local business man who wants to start a business by supporting him in any way they can, including TIF and or CDAP services.
Supt. of Public Works report:
Dura patcher was in Farmington today and filled with oil. Looked at a Kubota Zero turn with a 60” deck priced at $10,999.00 with a trade in on the Simplicity final cost $5995.00.
East Evans St plans at contractors and the Engineers will have a bid opening May 24th. The Village Board will review the bids on May 25th. At 7:30 PM.
The culvert was delivered to w. North St and will be grouted in by Otto Baum Co.
Other business:
Mulch is needed at the N.E. corner of Stevens Square Park.
City sidewalk in front of the Funeral Home has raised up and is a triping point which needs to be repaired.
Sewer rate increase:
Motion by Rasmussen with a second by Rickey to raise the sewer rate from $1.50 to $1.85 per 1000 gallon of water usage. Roll call vote. Sutherland, Rickey, Rasmussen, Troutman, Koller and Barrington all voting aye. No nays. Motion passed.
Adjournment:
Motion by Rickey to adjourn the meeting with a second by Troutman. Voice vote, all ayes. No nays. Motion passed.
President Stahl adjourned the meeting at 9:25 PM.
